November 10th, 2012

During the Annual Baltic Assembly, which was held from 8 to 10 November in Vilnius, Dendrolight Latvia Ltd. received international recognition for innovation.

The Baltic Assembly is an international organization established to promote cooperation between the Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian parliaments of the Republic. Each year it gives awards in literature, art and science, but, starting from 2011, the Baltic Assembly in collaboration with the Baltic Science Technology Parks and Innovation Centres Association has established a fourth nomination – Baltic Innovation Prize, which is given to the most innovative company in the Baltic States. This year, the Baltic Innovation Award was presented to the Lithuanian pharmaceutical company Aconitum UAB, while Defendec Ltd. (Estonia) and Dendrolight Latvia Ltd. (Latvia) won international recognition for innovation and diplomas for 2nd and 3rd places.

“We are pleased and grateful for the recognition and diplomas. We would like to thank everyone who helped to implement the DendroLight® idea! This award proves that woodworking has its place among innovative sectors such as pharmaceuticals and electronics. We can be proud that past efforts have contributed to the image of the company and country as one of leading and recognizable in the field of woodworking innovations. This allows to position ourselves alongside such woodworking technology powers like Sweden, Finland, Austria and Germany,” Janis Vašuks, Dendrolight Latvia Ltd. Chairman of the Board.

This is not the only company achievement. In January 2012 Dendrolight Latvia Ltd. won 2nd place in the category “Most Successful industrial design of Kurzeme” in exhibition “Elements”. But together with their partners they won 3rd place in nomination “The best marketing idea” during the international exhibition in Poland MTM Furniture Fair in Ostróda. The company has participated in over 17 international exhibitions over the last year worldwide. Including this week: 14-16 November the cellular material will be presented at Japan’s largest construction and interior design exhibition Japan Home & Building Show 2012 together with wood window and door products manufactured by the company “ARBO”. The awards and international recognition in exhibitions show that the product is highly appreciated and promotes product sales, not only the EU, but also in the Middle East and Asia.
